Boat Maintenance

Yachthub Service and Management is seeking a skilled individual in Boat Detailing and Maintenance to join our team at our Marsa location. If you’re ready to take on the responsibility of maintaining and polishing boats, preparing surfaces, and assisting in general maintenance tasks, we want to hear from you!

Role, duties and responsibilities:

Boat Polishing:
- Perform thorough cleaning and polishing of boat exteriors and interiors to maintain a high-quality appearance.
- Utilize polishing equipment and materials to remove oxidation, stains, and blemishes.
- Apply wax and protective coatings to preserve the boat’s finish and protect it from environmental factors.

Surface Preparation:
- Prepare hull surfaces by sanding, cleaning, and removing old coatings or rust as necessary.
General Maintenance:
- Assist with general maintenance tasks on boats.
Cleaning and Detailing:
- Assist in cleaning and detailing boat interiors and exteriors to the highest standards.
- Use cleaning products, equipment, and techniques to remove dirt, grime, and stains from various boat surfaces.
- Ensure cabins, decks, and other boat areas are clean and sanitized.

Candidate Profile, Requirements, Skills:

Previous experience in boat maintenance and detailing is a plus.
Strong work ethic with a commitment to maintaining high-quality standards.
Ability to work in a team and follow instructions.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new tasks.
Physical fitness and ability to work in various weather conditions.
Attention to detail and a passion for boats and marine maintenance.

MARINE TECHNICIAN

Overview:

Calling all sea-loving enthusiasts! Here’s your chance to dive into the marine industry as a Marine Technician with YachtHub Service and Management in Marsa. If you’re seeking a career that blends passion with profession, look no further.

Role, duties and responsibilities:

Carry out the technical diagnosis, repairs and maintenance services, responsive to the customers perceived needs.
Provide accurate estimates for all maintenance, repairs and products sold in liaison with the senior technical officer and operations manager.
Ensure that all work on vessel has been authorized, and clarify with senior technical officer and operations manager as and when required.
To ensure efficient use of materials, equipment and to ensure that all work processed is carried out in a safe and economical manner.
Test vessels and diagnose same as and when required by the senior technical officer and operations manager.
To report on all current and possible future vessel faults, noticed while working on any vessel.
To keep abreast of all technical issues, bulletins, updates etc.
Ensure adequate maintenance of tools and equipment within the company.
To ensure that all company documentation is correctly filled in, and time allocations made before passing to the operations manager and accounting department.
Ensures that all warranty procedures are followed, in line with the company’s and manufacturers procedures.
Personally assess the customers’ requirements, by visiting their vessel, and understanding the customers concerns, as required.
Maintain good relationships with customers by meeting and exceeding their expectations.
Answer customers questions with regards to technical problems with their vessels, warranties, and repairs in a manner that is easily understood, and does not use excessive technical jargon.

Candidate profile, requirements, skills:

Proficiency in diagnosing and repairing marine vessels, including engines, electrical systems, and mechanical components.
Previous experience in a similar role within the marine industry.
Ability to quickly identify issues, develop effective solutions, and implement repairs to ensure vessel functionality.
Excellent communication skills to interact with customers, provide technical advice, and explain repair procedures in a clear and understandable manner.
Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and customer needs.
Relevant certifications and licenses, such as marine technician certifications or qualifications in mechanical engineering, are advantageous.
Dedication to providing exceptional customer service and ensuring complete customer satisfaction with all repairs and maintenance services.

Overview:

Join the Winning Team as a Volvo Penta Mechanic!

This is a full-time on-site role for a Volvo Penta Mechanic located in Marsa. The Volvo Penta Mechanic will be responsible for performing maintenance, preventive maintenance, and repairs on Volvo Penta engines and related equipment. Daily tasks include troubleshooting engine issues, conducting heavy equipment maintenance, and ensuring all services meet the highest standards of quality and safety. The mechanic will also be responsible for maintaining service records and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Role, duties and responsibilities:

Skills in Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, and Maintenance & Repair
Experience with Heavy Equipment maintenance
Proficient in Troubleshooting engine and equipment issues
Knowledge of Volvo Penta engines is highly desirable
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Strong communication and documentation skills
Technical certifications or relevant training in marine mechanics preferred
Previous experience in the maritime industry is a plus
